Two of John Dowland’s compositions that were published around 1597 use the same melody — Frog Galliard (for solo lute) and Now, O Now, I Needs Must Part (for four voices plus lute).

Solo and tutti sections. May also be played with one player per part, although you will lose some of the dynamic contrasts.
My arrangement incorporates musical material composed by John Dowland, Thomas Morley, and John Wilbye. The gentle half-note and quarter-note rhythms which begin my arrangement evolve into more complex triplet and sixteenth-note rhythms. Soprano, Tenor, and Great Bass recorders have opportunity for solistic playing.
